I fear being left behind, uncared for…alone, and you were leaving early.

Panic.

Nightmare.

Fearful, I cried. I don’t think you heard me, but you may’ve.

Be brave, I thought, only to discover you were staying after all.

“Did you change your plans for me?”

“Does it matter?”

Yes.
